Ewan has explored the globe by campervan, motorcycle, and roof tent, travelling as far as North Africa and Iran, always guided by the spirit of connection, kindness, and curiosity. His love for camping runs deep, so much so that his wedding car was a camper van! Today, he shares that love with his sons, Oliver and Cameron, while opening the Scottish Highlands to guests from across the world.
Built from scratch on a former barley field in 2018, Barrow Campsite was created to offer visitors a unique space to relax, reconnect, and experience Scotland without the clutter of overly commercial travel. From international overlanders to families with young children, we welcome everyone looking for a peaceful, authentic, and friendly place to stay.
